The second round of the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) 2023, was released on the 9th of February. In this updated 2nd round, it is now possible to apply for a grant for calf housing. The minimum grant has been reduced to £1,000 per theme and you can apply for a total grant of up to £25,000 per theme.
A recent study examined whether calves in the first 11 weeks of life have a preference for access to the outdoors in summer conditions. Much is already known about adult cows. These have a clear preference to be outside in summer conditions, but not much is known about the preferences of calves in this area.
