The fixed group hutch
With effect from November 2023, Topcalf introduces the product: ”Topcalf Fixed Group Hutch.” This Topcalf housing concept is an addition to our group housing range and is the first fixed set-up within this range. The strengths of this hutch can be found in surface area, climate, flexibility and the conscious choice of materials.

Advantages Topcalf Fixed Group Hutch
Capacious lying area
The total lying area is approximately 16.25 m2. With this lying space size, the small groups have an optimal living environment. The barn also meets the latest requirements around welfare.

Flexible set-up
The set-up is easy to mount on a concrete substructure
You start with a:
-
- Basic stable (2 side walls, rear wall and feed fence)
- On build stable (1 side wall, back wall and feed fence)
- The sloping floor ensures adequate drainage of urine
- The calf barn is easy to extend
- The feed fence consists of adjustable bars from which a volume drinking trough can be hung. It also has a gate where the calf can be locked. This gate also serves as a personnel entrance. For dry feed/silage, we supply a feed trough that can be hung on the bars too.

Optimal climate:
- The open front stable system ensures optimal natural ventilation
- The large ventilation sliders in the rear wall can provide additional fresh air in summer in addition to the natural air flow.

Innovative construction stands out for its simplicity:
- At Topcalf, solidity and durability go hand in hand. Creating more strength with less material.
The galvanised steel construction is the basis of the Topcalf calf houses. All double-walled PVC sheet walls are mounted between the steel columns. These are easy to clean. - The isolated roof panels provide sufficient stability and load-bearing capacity.
- In extreme conditions, the calf barn can carries a 1.5m snow load
- We only supply the gutter for roof water drainage.
- The Topcalf calf hutch has lighting, a water trough and a hay rack as standard.
