Dairy farm ‘Klein Wigterhegge’
The dairy farm of the family Klein Wigterhegge is located in Wijhe (NL). This dairy farm has approximately 120 dairy cows with accompanying young stock. Since January 2020, the dairy farm disposes of a Quattro calf hutch, offering place to 4 calves.
The heifer calves from 0 to 2 weeks of age come into the calf hutch and then go to a group hutch with an automatic calf feeder. The calf hutch can be moved around easily, which is why the calf hutch is placed in different locations. During the mucking out process, the hutch is moved to the manure area and then easily cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner.
